Back in October I had the awesome opportunity to take photos for Ben C. Brunnette and Samantha Helmstetter for their upcoming cabaret show in January, An Ode to European Cabaret. Theyre playing a trust-fund-baby-turned-madame and war-veteran-turned-murderous-pimp (and opium pusher). Their relationship is more of a business transaction. They will be singing vaudvilian/cabaret tunes and having little bits of dialogue between. Ben originally messaged me and told me he wanted to go for a very dark, broody, grimy look. He and Sam planned out this great wardrobe with all the props and made my job really easy. With a bare flash low against the wall, we nailed this shoot down in their library(!) Yes, their apartment has a library.
