Back in the 50s, Telugu cinema saw the rise of several actors and actresses who had come from a theatre background. One such actor was Ramana Reddy, who was a magician and a sanitary inspector before he began acting in films. For most part of the 50s and 60s, he became one of most sought after actors to play comedy roles and other important supporting roles.
