Back in the 90s at the Moamoa Theological College, students played - TopicsExpress

Back in the 90s at the Moamoa Theological College, students played 3 sports; soccer, volleyball, and cricket. One Sunday Fr. JP, questioned why MTC students dont play rugby. He said when the students become catechist and serve the villages, they dont play soccer. So to get his message across, he told a story of a rural rugby district where the neighbouring villages were coached by the LDS Bishop, the next village the EFKS minister, the next one the Methodist minister and last village the Catholic catechist. The SRU conducted trainings with a coach from NZ. The kiwi asked what do you give the team at halftime? The LDS said i have 5 boxes of gatoraid energy drink. The EFKS said I have four baskets of coconuts. The Methodist stood up and said I have 3 sacks of oranges. Then Catechists (who never played rugby) stood up and said I have 2 biiiig pots ready for my boys...a pot of rice and a pot of chopsuey. Its Sunday, lent and our team need our prayers, so smile people. 8 new boys so do not expect a miracle. They got hammered by Fiji, but gained a painful experience. And the thing about experience, it sticks and you dont forget. So get back up boys, dust yourself off, and keep moving forward. Blessed Sunday to you all.
