Back in the USA......first things first. Hey FB family, I was invited by the Governors office in AKS to be a part of the Diaspora Unity team 2014, to attend a memorial service in honor of the innocents accused as saboteurs by their kinsmen tortured and slain in the civil war aftermath as well as tour and make a critical appraisal of the uncommon transformation projects in AKS. First port of call was my family home ...with Mom in chief and elders of the clan....excerpts ......Imaobong amedi sim ufok... Song idem ..o. Me...thank u Uncle. Family.....We are happy to see you but we hear that you are on a Govt team of sorts, what for, why you and why now. You know this family does not and will not play politics Me....Only Uncle Victor right ? ( general laughter) anyway, I have been recognized as a famous Akwa Ibom daughter who has brought recognition and pride to the state, I have also been recognized for my work with Africanviews with a radio program on community health services, I have also been recognized as a pioneer and erstwhile major player in Nollywood and of course as former most beautiful girl in Nigeria who has in represented Nigeria and AKS state well. Recognized and appreciated by all except by my people. Fam..,, Iya iwei iki inyie yie ifang. Sai, Imaobong u hv been famous since 1988 and this Govt has been here almost 8 years.... Y Are they just now recognizing you as they are stepping out? Me ...,there is time for everything, its been said that akwaibomites in the diaspora critizise the government blindly with falsehood and hear say so we have been invited to see for ourselves . Fam...well said but you dont criticize the government ? Me.., no I dont but I allow my wall to be used for that and I hv a huge follower ship. Fam..,, so what is their expectation after this? Me ....balanced representation. Fam...,,are you aware of the Governors senatorial aspirations after his tenure? Me..,,,yes Sir, and are u also aware that that position should be zoned to the abak 5 area where you are a constituent ..,, Me...,no Sir now thats deep ..,I am just a delegate on the diaspora team. Fam ... No you are a beloved daughter of Annang land and identifying with n praising this Gov may seem like an endorsement. We dont want you to be a pawn in this game nor get caught in the crossfire of the political fall out. I bet u are also not aware of the members of the opposition some of them ur Uncles.,,..Me ....,,I have come to look and report progress and that is what I will do. Fam...,Okay, remember who you are and where u come from. This family does not do dirt and it will not start with you. We will keep a close eye on your actions and utterances. Our daughter, be wise.
