Back in the day we joked around, “Who stole the cookie out the cookie jar? You stole the cookie out the cookie jar” “Who me?” “Yes you”. “Couldn’t be.” “Then who.” And it was a little family joke. So we laughed. Farther back in the day, There was a man. And according to the King James Version of the Bible, His name was Jesus. And in that book, in John14:12 Jesus said “I say unto you, He that believeth in me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” And in my interpretation, Sometimes we make the same statements as we did with the joke, Jesus says”I say unto you..” We say “Who me?” Jesus says “Yes you” We say “Couldn’t be” He says “Then who?” But see Jesus wasn’t saying a joke. He was serious. Very serious He recognized that even after he was gone Someone had to carry the torch He recognized the need for greater works. He recognized that the same power that was available to him, Was available to you. And he said Because I go unto my Father. But what about the fatherless child. But wait, He was not going unto his father on earth, He was going to his Father in Heaven. A Father that we all can believe we have, A Father we can go unto And receive power from a source that no man could ever reach into and empty. So because our Father’s powers are limitless, we can get some power then pass that power on, Especially those who are fatherless on earth And seemingly to them Fatherless in heaven. So who will be the ones, Who will go? Not to the selfish cookie jar for a their own selfish simple edible pleasure, But for the self-less extensive power of their Father, So they can do greater works for others. For all people, For all generations, In this moment of time. How does your scripture end?
