Back in the fifties when my parents were first taken to Sibley Pond to look at camp lots. There were only one existing camp on the loon lane stretch. Nattie Shorey. There was no road beyond Natties place. Mom and Dad picked the lot because of its Sandy Beach. They took great pride in that beach and would rake and clear after each water mark adjustment. Sometimes the water would come right to the top of the steps and we would for a time become beachless. The waters would recede and again we would have a nice beach which my parents would rake and keep nice. We have passed ownership of that camp with the lovely beach on to a very nice man who is doing a very good job of keeping the beach looking nice as my parents did. We have many lovely memories and pictures to back up our memories of that beach. So if someone of a petty and jealous nature wishes to dispute the fact that God placed that beach there, bring it.
