Back the Bhoys in Zagreb with Celtic FC Travel FOLLOWING last night’s 1-1 draw with FC Astra in Romania, Celtic now sit in second place in group D of this season’s UEFA Europa League on eight points, with Dinamo Zagreb five points further back in third spot. FC Salzburg secured their passage to the last 32 with a 5-1 win against the Croats last night, and the Bhoys too could require at least a draw in Zagreb on Matchday 6 to join the Austrians in the next round. The Hoops of course would seal a spot in the last 32 with victory over FC Salzburg at Celtic Park on November 27, which in turn would leave the clash in Zagreb (December 11) as a battle for top spot between ourselves and the Austrians, which – in theory – would provide a more favourable draw in the knock out stages. So it’s all very much all to play for as the Bhoys seek European football beyond Christmas, and Celtic FC Travel are providing a charter flight for that final-day fixture with Croatia Zagreb to ensure as many supporters as possible can take their place in the Stadion Maksimir.
