Back to School! This is a good one read all the way!! Today was the official first day of school. This meant I was completely back. All three girls got up without tears or moans which is amazing! I have to admit, my morning routine is very different after chemo lol! My wig which is real hair takes me hardly anytime to fix and go. It is way better than my original hair;). Ill probably miss the wig days when it all grows out. So easy! The bright side is easy to see today, so just hang with me! Best part of the day was all the hugs from the kids. I mean legit hugs of relief from so many. I scared them:(. I knew of course my own went through some very hard times. I did not realize how it effected some of my kids at school. Ill share two examples;). Hope their families dont mind!! Sunday was open house. Allie came to my room alone. She is entering 4th grade. She walked in said I just came to see you and hugged me. Then her mother was in the gym this morning for the opening prayers and blessings. She said Allie is looking for you! I said she got me yesterday and how moved I was. Amazing. Allie again hugged me first thing this morning. I taught her kindergarten just like so many others. Thrilled I was there, strong and proof that God does hear his children. And now the second...funny and typical.. Garrett- Ive known Garrett since he was born. His mom and dad have been friends for years! Best parents I know who are no longer married. Just amazing people but I digress! Garrett is their youngest and has ALWAYS been an extrovert. His class came in today for computer and the questions were bouncing off the wall!! 2nd graders here! Are you better? Is the cancer gone? I am amazed by their questions and they literally had not gotten three steps in the door. I also did not know what to say because you know the scans have not happened. Not telling a 7-8 year old that of course. But- Garrett took care of it! He just looked at his classmates and said, see, I told you the cancer was gone and she is alright. And just looked at me and shook his head. Love! So funny and perfect timing as usually from him. So, my day went great only a few bumps in the road. Oh? What bumps! The AC in my room kept going out because the breaker got tripped. It is no big deal really, but that room got hot at times. I finally asked our assistant principal, are yall trying to kill me on the first day here? I said that I was on hormone blockers and had a wig on in a hot room lol. They all laughed on the copy room where I was. I said you can fix it, or Ill take off my wig. Which they died laughing. If course I was joking. No one needs to see a Justin Berber look a like as a teacher. Emery and Ellison both had great days. It was so nice to be back on campus together. We are all tired now, but that is normal! Its nice to be normal for awhile:). Pics of girls are before we left for school. Ellison wanted to take a pic alone, so that explains the mood in the group shot:).
