Back to basics, Tuesday. From Deane Juhans book he published in 1987, Jobs Body, A Handbook for bodywork: last paragraph under Optimal Tone and Posture, pg. 142 he writes: Any set pattern, no matter how good it looks on paper, is a fixation that thrreatens to be crushed by its own resistance to the onrush of things and events. The goal of bodywork should not be to impose universalized standards of posture and movement upon an individual, but rather to help the individual to cultivate the mental awareness and the physical flexibility to continually adapt to the changing needs of the moment. And I say, HEY, YOU COMPUTER ATHLETES! (Term learned from Deborah Kimmel) GET UP AND MOVE AROUND ONCE IN A WHILE, YOUR BODY WAS MADE TO MOVE AROUND ON THE EARTH!
