Back to the future in Revelation: Now when God repeats Himself, - TopicsExpress

Back to the future in Revelation: Now when God repeats Himself, take notice, take notes, and take steps to follow Gods thoughts!!! As I work my way thru Revelation using Jesuss own words, He keeps repeating who He is. In the beginning and the end of Revelation, Jesus says that He is and always has been the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega. Revelation 1: 17-18 adds to that repetition: “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. That is some kind of introduction and title! No one on earth or in heaven can claim this title except Jesus Christ who was victorious over death, our greatest enemy. So ask yourself, WHO would you want to follow? A mere man or mere angel or the One True God who is eternal and faithful and has the keys to unlock death? WHO will you serve? Will you contribute to death and destruction or will you serve the One Who can banish death forever? It seems like such a no-brainer that it is difficult to imagine anyone following another religion, but it happens every day. Every day people try to go it alone and please themselves or follow false promises of false religions that would rather see them die than to save them and give them life. A key to understand God is that you cant do enough or be perfect enough to go to heaven! If your religion teaches you to do good works and then you will go to heaven, then run. Jesus had to die to get you to heaven and when He was done suffering, He, the Alpha and Omega, said It is finished. That means to redo His suffering and death in a mass designed to create new forgiveness is false and a lie because the work and benefit of Jesus is already done. We are to repent of sin with God and believe in Jesus Christ and that is what makes us acceptable to God. Doing good is a result of being saved, but it does not save us and never will because He is the Alpha and the Omega, not us. He is the perfect man and the perfect sacrifice, not us. He was able to take and keep the keys to death and hell, no one else. Not Saint Peter or any other saint or so-called good person or prophet. No one, but the One Perfect Man Who IS and Who Was and Who Will be. Imagine being in the past, in the present, and in the future all at the same time and then you will only begin to understand how the One True God is separate from our world and yet present in Spirit. It is because He does not live by the same rules of our universe. Instead, He makes the rules that we live by. .............let this sink in deep.
