Back to work. Fort Drum Garrison civilian employees are employed again. The big jobs still remain. 1) Pass a budget 2) Extend the debt limit so we (The USA) do not default on our debt. If this does not happen it is big trouble!! 1) For the first time in history we would default on our loans. 2) We risk losing our status as reserve currency of the world. 3) Inflation could go thru the roof. 4) The stock market could plummet. 5) Our life savings will also plummet because it is tied to the stock market through programs like 401K, Sep. IRA, and the Thrift Savings plan. 6) Citizens could start to think that they don’t have to pay their bills either. As evidence to the above I site what happened to Great Britain in 1974. Prior to 1974 British Pound Sterling was the reserve currency of the world. They lost their status as the currency of the world. Overnight inflation went up by one third. British citizens lost their life savings. The poor became destitute. Please do what is right and don’t allow our Government to shut down for one more day. Please do what is right and increase our debt limit. Pass a budget. Work for America. Quit doing things for your party, and start doing things for your country!
