Back to work ... but I saw this floating about ... Each point - TopicsExpress

Back to work ... but I saw this floating about ... Each point is easily refuted with completely logical and factual information, but my favorite has got to be: The exemption sought by Hobby Lobby and Conestoga would…deny legions of women who do not hold their employers beliefs access to contraceptive coverage. Tell me there arent legions of us across the nation who arent denied something because of a Court case going through the Supreme Court, mandating some aspect of our liberty all because of someone elses secular beliefs ... are those beliefs pristine and pure? Not necessarily, of course. I personally have no strong feeling regarding contraception in general; maybe I am not well-informed on the matter. In my own life (or what passes for it these days) I have to scrimp and save, pretty seriously, just to have bare necessities. One reason I have only two children is that I take personal responsibility pretty seriously ... and if a person is pretty serious about avoiding pregnancy, there are several ways that can usually be successfully accomplished. It involves work and self-discipline and etc; all qualities that apparently not required or even necessary in an age where turning a pretty argument (no matter the logic). Im thinking that if you really want/need birth control pills, etc there are ways of cutting back a bit in most budgets ... Id much rather have the money that has been pocketed by the government to help me over the past several decades, plus a truly free market, in terms of information as well as getting rid of all the tiered pricing for services and some products. Im sick and tired of having my actions and life dictated by people whove allowed their (non-religious) beliefs to file Supreme Court cases, often through very questionable back alleys in terms of the avenues taken to get them to docket. Meanwhile, we learn that police (paid for by our tax dollars) have no obligation to serve us or enforce laws or keep order unless public venue is involved and that children can be severely beaten, over a period of months to over a year, with the full knowledge of the child protection people, who end up with no responsibility for the results ... or an obligation to REALLY protect any child. m.motherjones/politics/2014/06/best-lines-hobby-lobby-decision
