Back when it was a game! Before big money became a part of sports driving up the cost of everything, the average fan could easily afford to attend a baseball game. Here we see a vendor named Seymour pouring two glass bottles of Schlitz at once in 1974. Schlitz along with Old Style were the two beers sold at Wrigley Field at that time. Did you notice the price? 60 cents! You can see a coin changer on his belt so that he could quickly give you back your quarter, dime and nickel on each sale of one if you passed him a dollar. Note: back then both Schlitz and Old Style came in glass bottles! This was dangerous as pieces of glass could break off and either cut the vendor or worse yet, possibly find its way into the glass. {Old Style vendors made more sales than the Schlitz guys. I should know, I sold both back in the day as a part time vendor}
