Back when the Ray Rice story first broke, I registered my outrage here on Facebook regarding the lame reaction by the NFL and head coach Harbaugh of the Ravens. In recent days, previously unseen video of the incident in the elevator, surfaced forcing the NFL and the Ravens to take more drastic action regarding Ray Rice. He has been suspended from the NFL indefinitely, which seems to be perfectly appropriate given the egregious nature of his actions. However, after subsequent interviews with NFL commissioner Goodelle, it is becoming increasingly evident the commissioner and the NFL were willing to go to extraordinary lengths to overlook, cover-up, and dismiss the actions of Ray Rice. Given commissioners Goodales initial seemingly callous reaction, then his backpedaling in the face of public criticism, and his recent denials of knowledge about the existence of the tape when it is clear that knowledge of the tape was easily attainable calls his character into question, and leaves no alternative but for commissioner Goodelle to resign his position as Commissioner in the best interest of the NFL.
