Backup quarterback Blake Bortles played another impressive preseason game for Jacksonville yesterday. He seems to be very well composed in the pocket and I believe Jacksonville made the correct pick over Johnny Football. While he is still the backup to Chad Henne many speculate that he will be taking over starter duties earlier rather than later (and a lot hoping he does). This may be tricky because even though Blake Bortles is looking great in preseason, it is preseason. It would be a let down to see another rookie quarterback get rushed into a situation he might not be ready for because of media pressure, social and otherwise. This may be one of those instances where patience might be the better path. Jacksonville has a bit of a way to go still to be considered a playoff contention team.
