Bacon Experiment - Baked Bacon I lined a baking sheet with foil and put a large cooling rack on it. I put the bacon on the rack and put it in a cold oven. I set the temperature to 400 and let that cook for 20 minutes as this was what my original tip called for. Bacon was not ready after 20 minutes so I tagged another 10 minutes on. The bacon was perfect after that so next time I will hit it for 30 minutes from the start. The tip did say baking time can very due to how fast your oven heats up.
