It simply suggests fair, just, sensible, equitable actions to achieve a goal and NOT paranoia fuelled programs like PRISM, FAST (Future Attribute Surveillance Technology), CSM and the Devil alone knows what other crazy monitoring schemes. For preventing 50+ "terror attacks" Uncle Sam evidently tracked hundreds of millions of ordinary messages?! OVERKILL anyone? Human history is replete with countless stories where the "powers-that-be" misuse their powers and position to exploit and dominate the less fortunate. Big Pig capitalists have been handing the communists their hats/ pants all this while because of the vast prior knowledge afforded them by surveillance programs like PRISM. "Additional insight" is actually illegal in the Share market (ask Rajaratnam, Rajat Gupta, Etc.) as also in Sports, Politics, Business and every sphere of human endeavour. It is simply unfair, unjust, unworthy, unethical and unfortunate that a society has to resort to such methods. The difference between a good cop and a bad cop is that one of them is a "pimp in uniform".
