Bafana Bafana midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane who turned 31 on Sunday, 09 June 2013 described the 3-0 win over Central African Republic (CAR) as a perfect birthday present for him. The midfield anchorman was back pulling strings in the middle of the park after missing the international friendly against Lesotho in Maseru early this month. The win was a perfect birthday gift but I feel we deserved it as a team and we are all excited about the win. It meant a lot in our aspirations to represent the country at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, said the player affectionately known as Yeye in football circles. We knew what to expect as the team going to the game. We knew that we needed to work hard and play as a team. We stuck to our tactics and played for one another. We need to continue with this kind of performance when we come up against Ethiopia this coming weekend. The White City, Soweto born midfielder speaking to kaizerchiefs passed a special message of praise for his Club, Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana teammates, Bernard Parker who scored the first goal and Siphiwe Shabba Tshabalala who scored and created another goal against CAR. I was not surprised at all that Shabba scored and created another goal for the team. He always gives his best every time he pulls his jersey be it in the national team or the gold and black of Kaizer Chiefs. Shabba is the most experienced player in the team and will be key for us going forward. Credit should also go to each and every player in the national team. We are all here to give our best and represent the country, added Letsholonyane. Bafana Bafana will play against the Group leaders, Ethiopia this coming weekend in a crucial 2014 World Cup Qualifier. A win in Ethiopia will further boost Bafana Bafana chances of qualifying for the biggest footballing showpiece to be hosted in the land of Samba.
