Bajaj Auto bets big on Discover 100 M Bajaj Auto is pinning its hopes on the Discover 100 M, launched last week, to help it gain ground on the undisputed king of the Indian road, Hero Moto-Corp’s Splendor. As part of the drive to close the gap, Bajaj Auto will introduce two more Discover bikes in six-eight months. Hero sold an average 1.7-lakh Splendor bikes a month in the first half of FY14, against monthly sales of 85,000 bikes of the Discover range. Built on a new platform, the Discover 100 M is priced at Rs 45,996 to Rs 49,000, excluding insurance and road tax, in New Delhi and is also pitted against Honda Motorcycle & Scooter’s new 100 cc motorcycle, the Dream Neo, besides Splendor.
