Baksa being in BTAD is far far away from massacre. It is a good thing for us people of Baksa neither support the ruling party nor any extremists. It is most peaceful district among other . The only thing which lacks is govt institutions i.e colleges, medical institutes, etc. Our regional leaders need to too much regarding this otherwise district will be peaceful and underdeveloped. Ya its true that Kokrajhar has most of institutions being headquarter of BTAD but distribution of govt. organisation should be uniform. It is seen that most of tribal people from the BTAD are either from Kokrajhar or udalguri, Udalguri people look for guwahati metro and Kokrajhar people go to delhi/ncr and baksa they are wondering from where to start. Secondly most of the meritorious students are children of state govt. employee (generally school masters) since they had strong motivation cum foundation for studies. We people of Baksa need to focus for on higher education plus non conventional degree let it be any thing except simple BA/MA combination. Ya thats not easy for everybody but awareness about good courses can do this. at last i would like say that do different travel various places of country -The Admin.
