Baku Chamber Ballet ( Terpsichore ) - an independent public youth theater studio. Originated in 1982 /83 . efforts of a group of enthusiastic professionals, headed by Baku Rashid Akhmedov ballet dancer , choreographer graduate department of the Leningrad Conservatory. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class N. N. Boyarchikov). Collective conceived as an experimental platform for the creation of one-act chamber productions scenarios of its leader, the music, mostly classics of the twentieth century , which first sounded on the ballet stage . In the first 15 years of the studio showed ballets by Azerbaijani composers of the score : Pomnte ! Melikov (1985) and East poem Bakihanov T. (1989), In memory of Nizami Mirzoev M. (1986) and Inspiration A. Ali -Zadeh (1986), Good and Evil Bakihanov T. (1993) and Don Quixote K.Karayev (1994), The Ballad of the Wind, Kafarov I. (1996 ), etc. In these works inspired plastic solutions literary and pictorial images that defined their genre and stylistic affiliation: poem , ode , gazelles , on the one hand, and the engraving , historical painting , group portrait - on the other. Then, during the second half of the 90s . and further, Baku Chamber Ballet productions showed the music of Western composers: Memories of Manfred to the music on Brahms’s 3 Symphony (1987) and Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens (1987), The Temptation of St. . Anthony to the music P. Hindemith (1995) and Spring Bells » [«Schlagobers»] Richard Strauss (1999), Paradise Lost Hindemith (2001) and Princess of Dreams by F. Poulenc (2000) , etc. These performances marked genres such as dance symphony , ballet is a parable , a performance- review and other. In the XXI century Baku Chamber Ballet introduced a new stage work: Orfny - Apollo by Igor Stravinsky (2002), Solomon and Shulamith Schoenberg (2006), Harold In Ialii by H. Berlioz (2009 ), etc. These projects marked motifs expressionism and postmodernism. Theater productions studio embodied by choreographic vocabulary, in which classical and character dance added elements of modern-dance, free plastics and effective dance pantomime.
