Bald Ibis -by Karyn de Kramer Northern Bald Ibis - Digital Drawing on ipad from photo. The Bald Ibis was once abundant throughout Europe and now a Critically Endangered species. I was recently introduced to a small flock that was re-introduced in southern Spain and appeared to be thriving. I was captivated by the character of this bird as the Bald Ibis seems to straddle the scale from a bit ugly to beautiful. Its iridescent feathers shimmer with color in the sunlight and what it lacks for beauty in facial features it makes up for in pure character! dekramerart
