Bam continues to do well. He was down some today because he wants to go home and because of how some of the staff has treated him. As you know, long-term health care organizations are under staffed and sometimes lack quality of care, not showing patients the dignity and respect they deserve. I am looking forward to Kelly Lewis being able to check on him once she starts work. We visit him every day to make sure he is being taken care of beyond just giving him his medicines. He goes for a follow up appointment tomorrow with the plastic surgeon, which should just be a routine visit. Hope to see when physical therapy can start. Just taking it day by day and encouraging Bam to be patient...he wants to go home so bad. Overall he continues to do well. Please do not hesitate to visit...it will help him to see familiar friendly faces. He is at Culpeper Health and Rehab, unit 1, room 3.
