Bangalore, why are we all getting cancers, and why are our farmers killing themselves? Any connection? Lets explore this.............. Lets get down to the basic issue of what food we eat! And how much control do we have over the food we eat? How much do we connect to the food we eat, and the ones that grow our food? Why are the people who create our food committing suicides in such high numbers? Official figures exceed 250,000 farmers! Farmers are in such trouble that the next generations of farmers do not want to take to farming at all............ Who will produce our food in the future? How many of my fellow bangaloreans know whats actually in the food we eat? How many of us know that food is heavily poisioned by pesticide residue? Ever wonder why there is such a high rise in the incidence of cancers and new diseases? How many of us know that the food is under-nourished due to the use of chemical fertilisers making them almost useless trash? How many of us know that the Ruthless Military Chemical Industries that used to supply chemicals to kill the victims of Hitler, control the modified seeds, chemical pesticide and fertiliser industry? It is the same industry that now controls and manipulates our food supply in the way it profits them the most, by promoting harmful farm practices, with scant regard to the destruction of soil and our habitats and ecosystems because of these dangerous chemicals, scant regard to people (us) who consume the poisoned food, while bleeding governments worldwide for subsidies. How many of us know that the subsidies that are given for agriculture do not go to the farmers, they go to the manufacturers of these harmful chemicals that are poisoning our habitats? How many of us know that for healthy and profitable farming, no inputs are really required in a farm, except for expertise. No fertilisers are required, no pesticides are required, no additional water or irrigation is really required. All that is required is the wisdom and understanding of nature. So this requirement for chemicals is an artificial demand created by corporates to sell their products! As a result its poisioning our foods, and destroying livelihoods and our environments! Does this explain why when our Government spending crores of rupees, our farmers are still commiting suicides because of debt? isnt there something fishy about all this? How many of us know that due to the misinformation campaign of the chemicals industry and because governments have fallen prey to this industrys lobbying, the farmers have been lured into a debt trap, that makes them take loans to buy fertilisers and chemicals, which do not make them profits eventually, as all they do is keep paying these chemical companies, and in desparation, they commit suicides, our societies are in despair. All this because our education system propagates these harmful methods as scientific, while they are not at all scientific, and misleads us, and our farmers. The Monsantos of the world are thriving by driving poor farmers into vicious debt cycles and destroying our earth by polluting it with dangerous chemicals! They are attacking our government right now! If we educated lot dont prevent this, we all will eventually be victims of this vicious industry, succumbing to diseases and malnutrition! Are we ready to be aware and prevent this, and help our farmers by setting them free from this predatory industry? * Our farmers who give us our food, need not die in misery from this vicious debt cycles, created by our ill-informed governments, and the malicious pesticide-fertiliser-seed companies. If our farmers adopt Natural Farming methods, their investments will be zero, and they can flourish and progress. * We need not continue eating poisoned food, if our farmers adopt Natural Farming methods. We would consume nutritious food, and harmless food. There would be no more cancers and rise of diseases. Do we live a healthy life and save our farmers? Isnt it our jobs as educated citizens to awaken our governments and force them to come to senses? Isnt it our job as citizens to save our country from evil companies like Monsanto and others?
