Bangor Maines most famous (and creepiest) resident Stephen King doesnt open his home to trick or treaters anymore..in fact the master of horror has come right out and said Dont come to my house on Halloween! lol This is his primary residence and in fairness to the Kings I will add that they did welcome trick or treaters there for many years but once the numbers got up to over 1,500 on Halloween night they felt it became too much for them :) An elaborate and spooky iron gate surrounds his Maine home. Stehphen King was born in Portland Maine and many of his books have a Maine setting....he also has a home in Florida and winters there. ( they own several homes but Maine is his primary home) He has released several new books this fall.
