Bangsar Ukulele Blues - Az Samad Hi! I recently posted a short instagram video of me jamming some blues on the ukulele. A few people really liked it and so I decided to write a blues ukulele piece. This piece is jazzy but is really rooted in riff type blues very common during the early swing era. I call it the Bangsar Blues because I grew up in the neighborhood of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. I used to walk with my dad around Jalan Telawi when it was filled with sundry shops and kopitiams. I loved the smells and sounds of the shops. Nowadays, the neighborhood is busier and has a mix of old and new. This song captures the excitement and energy of Bangsar. Hope you like it!
