Bank Rakyat holds Hari Raya open house in Permyjaya MIRI: Bank Rakyat Permyjaya branch here held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house for its customers as well as to advertise its presence in the fast-growing satellite town near the Brunei border. Regional manager Azman Abdul Aziz said the branch, which is the second in the city, started operations in December 2011 and was headed by a 36-year-old Kuchingnite, Suhana Othman. Azman said they had only two female managers in Sarawak and one of them was in Miri. “It’s quite an achievement,” he said. Azman also said the favourable economic climate of this division had prompted the bank to expand its operations. He also announced that Bank Rakyat was offering personal loans to private sector employees with repayment as low as RM30 per month, as well as competitive rates for housing loan and a car loan with low monthly payments. Azman also advised young children to start saving, especially their duit raya.
