Bank of America - Another BLACK EYE for them. I just called regarding an Additional Principal payment mailed into them on two different loans. Bank of America posted it as a payment, therefore, my automatic payment was shorted by this payment. Thus overall not reducing my principal. This has happen before, but this time I called to get it corrected. Sergio told me that the best way to make sure and Additional Principal payments are posted correctly is to call and make payment over the phone or go into the local branch. Using the sub on the statement does not guarantee that the transaction will get posted correctly. He said that he would adjust the posting but then my payment would be short and thus I am SCREWED by Bank of American yet again.
