Bank of America... core strategic changes coming? Settled with the government over mortgages. Probably de-emphasizing the retail loan business, opening that segment up for Wells Fargo and regionals. Maybe moving to Boston to please CEO and FleetBoston executives. But biggest thing is shifting to become an international capital markets firm...in other words, Merrill Lynch has taken over BA, instead of the other way around. BIG Banks are threatened by the looming increases in required reserves that cut ROE and may shift to more international markets.
