Baqeen, #Damascus, 12-07-2013: It has been revealed that the three martyrs killed in regime mortar bombardment of the area around a mosque in Baqeen yesterday evening (Thursday July 11th) were children. Twenty other civilians, many of them also children, were injured, some critically, in the bombardment, which was timed by regime forces to coincide with the Taraweeh prayers (rather than the Maghreb prayers as previously stated) when the mosque and surrounding area would be busiest. The Baqeen neighbourhood is more crowded than usual at present, with many displaced families who fled bombardment elsewhere in Damascus and across Syria taking refuge there.
