Barack Obama was correct about one thing all those years back in 2008, our nation – the United States of America – is in need of fundamental transformation. That transformation, though, needs to be from a culture of bureaucratic elitism in a centralized government where no one is able to be held accountable, to a nation dedicated to justice for all and the rule of law under the constraints of the United States Constitution. Or, as John Adams so eloquently wrote in Novanglus Essay, No. 7: “[Aristotle, Livy, and Harrington] define a republic to be a government of laws, and not of men.”
