Barb and I and dog Tali just got back from the big Sunday market. We met up at the corner of our street (Sucre) and Leather St.. with a good friend we met last year, Debra Williams and her wonderful dog Frida. Debra and her sister Lee Russell (due to arrive in the next month or two) had visited Cotacachi and we have been exchanging e-mails, Facebook messages, etc. ever since. Debra and Frida arrived here just the middle of the past week and I offered to watch Frida yesterday so Barb, Debra and the others in our mutual support group (the PODS formed to help Expats check on each other in case of medical emergency, etc.) met for a meeting and lunch at the seed sanctuary - no dogs allowed. By the way Debra and Frida are from Milwaukee but are now here permanently as their new home! As always the market is much busier on Sunday with more vendors, etc. Debra and Barb were going to check out the meat stands in the back of the bus terminal - they are talking about starting to make home made dog food for the dogs - but decided to put that off a bit as we all had heavy bags to carry home. I have shared many pictures of the market before but got a few today including one I took of Debras dog Frida yesterday. Frida is about twice as big as our Tali but she is a wonderful dog, likes us, etc. Now if only Cotacachi had a nice fenced-in dog park so the dogs could have a place to play, etc.
