Barbara Haws is the historian for the New York Philharmonic. Shes - TopicsExpress

Barbara Haws is the historian for the New York Philharmonic. Shes a Brooklynite, but she was raised in Nebraska. The proposed TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline would pass through her girlhood landbase, and she feels very angry about it. Her cousins are so unhappy about it that they already chained themselves to the White House fence in protest and were promptly arrested, had to pay bail, and found their arrests did little to stop the pipeline. Haws herself chose a simpler and possibly more effective form of protest, a low-tech high profile sign she carries around all over NYC, sparking conversations and encouraging others to resist along the way: youtu.be/jSFITLCxvYA
