Barbara Staffen, Thanks for your support for Autism Speaks. Barb is another “Band Hottie” from the school of Champions. Barb, who I affectionately refer to as “Conch Breath” and or Pavoratti Breath” depending on the circumstances, has chosen to take the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference (yes I just plagiarized Robert Frost). Barb chose Opera as her passion and followed that dream successfully. Now, true to her rebel soul, she has chosen to live a more laid back life style and has left the hustle and bustle of New York City to take up digs in Key West. Talk about a life of contrasts! Anyway, Barb is and will continue to be, someone who listens to her inner voice and follows it wherever it leads her. Im sure Barb is going to administer a vicious scissor kick to my larynx for posting a photo from her North Avenue Beach Lifeguarding days, but I think it personifies who she really is. Beautiful, intelligent, artistic, and not afraid to row out into lifes deep waters! I am honored to call her my friend.
