Barbie Xu asks: What is ‘Got To Believe?’ News about the second chapter of the hit series “Got To Believe” has reached Taiwan, with none other than Taiwanese actress Barbie Xu herself, famous for playing the role of San Chai in the hit TV series “Meteor Garden,” asking about the show. Barbie took to Twitter to relate how she has been receiving messages about the local drama, including queries on a Chinese micro-blogging site. “Is there Meteor Garden Philippines version? Because I am getting a lot of messages even in weibo. What is got to believe? who is playing my role?” she asked via a post Monday. Apparently, Barbie has taken her cue from several netizens that have been comparing the upcoming chapter of “Got To Believe” to “Meteor Garden,” noting supposed similarities in concept as based on a recently released “Got To Believe” trailer. In it, Joaquin (played by Daniel Padilla) will leave Chichay (Kathryn Bernardo) to undergo an operation needed to remove a bullet stuck in his skull. When their paths cross again, Chichay will be left heartbroken as Joaquin will no longer recognize her. Joaquin will also find love in the arms of another girl played by Liza Soberano. “Mygulay yung next chapter ng Got To Believe ah parang Meteor Garden 2 lang. Pero sige papatulan ko pa din. #JologsAlert #SorryNotSorry,” said one. “Parang meteor garden yung Got to Believe. Sobrang powerful ng nanay nung guy tas yung girl naman mahirap yung family. Wala nga lang F4. #GTB,” another pointed out. Someone also posted, “Yung sa meteor garden mas nagfocus sila sa shooting star. Etong got to believe sa moon. Right? Haha #similarities.” Kathryn Bernardo was quick to defend the series, arguing on Twitter that added thrills are needed to keep the five-month-old series fresh. She posted, “Kung walang ipapasok na bago walang trill (sic) na mangyayare. Lahat ng teleserye meron niyan. Please stop that hashtag.” “Oo masasaktan tayo kasi hindi na sina Chichay at Joaquin. Pero syempre kaylangan natin tanggapin na may trill (sic) na mangyayare,” she added.
