Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has discussed his dream to win the World Cup with his country and touched on his personal life in an interview with Corriere della Sport. Messi who is under scrutiny at the moment in Spain with media claiming he owes just under £4m in unpaid taxes, whilst a court case has been decided for the first week in September but he chose not to speak on the issue to Corriere dello Sport and instead touched on his dreams and personal life. When quizzed on winning a possible fifth Ballon d’Or, Barca’s number 10 said he would prefer to win the FIFA World Cup in Brazil next year.“Between the fifth Golden Ball and the World Cup with Argentina want the latter, no doubt. I lack a World Cup, it’s a shame to me,” he said.
