Bare with me on this one. Today I had very detailed, very specific workout/diet plan created for me. Im pretty consistent with working out and maintain a pretty decent diet, BUT THIS is a whole new level of discipline. Pretty intense. Starting this is definitely tough given the circumstances, not really based on my needs, but more my wants. For example, upcoming holidays, birthday, vacations, etc. I found myself complaining to another manager, explaining myself, when he said this; You know Chase youre right. Start this next week after this weekends festivities. But actually, youve got Christmas and a Vaca coming up soon too, bad timing. Maybe after that? Maybe after the new year? BUT WAIT.. We are seriously going to be very very very busy after the new year... I think March might be best I just looked at him confused/stunned, and said Heck no man, thats so far out.. Why would I wait that long? to which he replied Why would you wait at all? Theres never going to be a perfect time and there will always be something in the way. Whats really important to you Chase? Man, what a statement. Ive wanted this new plan for awhile.. I finally get it and I start immediately making excuses. Making excuses are so easy. And what are those excuses of wanting to drink, over eat, and be lazy compared to a more structured physique Ive always wanted and a healthier way I want to look and feel ???? Really??? Point being, with no matter what you want in life, theres never going to a perfect time in your life to start change guys. Ever. Youve just finally got to reach a point where you stop making excuses, you stop putting it off, and you just commit. When you start making excuses, be honest with yourself and see how those excuses REEEAALLY measure up to the end result you want, whatever it may be. Theres No comparison. Change doesnt begin tomorrow, next week, or next year... It begins now... It begins with you. Theres only one real thing standing in your way and Its you.
