Baringo Police Recruitment in question. By Kiptoon Nicholas A lot of irregularities on the just ended Police recruitment have been reported in Marigat, Baringo North and Eldama Ravine sub-counties says Baringo Human rights Consortium. The Human Rights body through their coordinator Kipruto Kimosop, said that they have received a lot of complains from the three sub counties with most people citing bribery and gross irregularities. They have also reported that the County public board chairman participated and left, as the result they have decided to keenly launched investigation of the entire recruitment process. “We are appealing to the members of the public to give us information pertaining the process. There is also a case about Eldama Ravine where malpractices have been reported. This is unfair but we are following up,” said Kimosop. The attention has been brought up due to uneven distribution of slots. In Kabartonjo 6 slots are concentrated in one village, and in Marigat distribution out of 18 locations 6 locations missed out completely. This has brought to question the criteria that were used to sub divide the slots. “We hope to compile the complains by on Friday to write a petition latter to the Police Public Service Commission of Baringo,”added Kimosop.
