Barnsley: Reds move will make me better player: Winnall NEW signing Sam Winnall believes he can blossom at Barnsley under boss Danny Wilson. Striker Winnall impressed last season for Scunthorpe United with 23 goals in 49 appearances. But the 23-year-old hitman is hungry to develop into an even better player – and is adamant Oakwell, and under Wilson’s experienced tutelage, is the ideal way of doing that. “I wanted to move forward in my career and I felt as if this club could definitely help me do that,” revealed Winnall, who joined the club on Wednesday along with former Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Ross Turnbull. “I’m really excited about coming here and working under Danny [Wilson] and all the lads. I just can’t wait to get the season started.
