Barry Anderson Tony M. Isaacs is correct with his comment on soy and to make matters worse soy protein is very undigestible and did you know and I am getting this information from my Holistic Vet that large dogs have serious trouble with digesting soy that is found in some dog brands and their intestines can back up and twist and die a horrible death . So what is soy doing to the intestinal integrity of humans I ask? I lived in Asia for more than 30 years and over here Asians use soy products as condiments and much of it is fermented which is more readily digestible and supports gut flora bacteria . It is the processed commercial food giants that are pushing soy down the throats of western society consumers that never spent a lot of time living in Asia. In Taiwan for instance the most popular soy food is called in English Stinky Soy and this food is fermented unlike the soy sold in the Western retail stores .
