Barry Ross, 30, of Elmira, was charged Friday with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. Ross’ arrest followed an investigation into the alleged sale of crack cocaine at 501 W. Church St. by the Elmira Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit and the New York State Police’s Community Narcotics Enforcement Team. He is being held in the Chemung County Jail.
