Barry University students and staff, especially those at the Hollywood campus, make sure to stop by Park(ing) Day tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 19. Multiple parking spots along N. 21st Avenue and Taylor Street in downtown Hollywood will be transformed into public parks. Visitors can walk through the 11 “parklets” and a full-size “Complete Street” model with bike lane. Multiple artists will be performing live music throughout the day and participants can take part in recreation and fitness activities and B-cycle bike share demonstrations. Public health students and graduate nursing students from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be on-hand conducting health screenings and educational sessions on skin health, hydration, sun protection and other health related topics of interest.
