Bartenders, Bar Owners, Proporietors and Managers, I have a - TopicsExpress

Bartenders, Bar Owners, Proporietors and Managers, I have a question. Heres the scenario: I bartend at a little restaurant on Anna Maria Island, and have been for about 4 weeks. Im leaving because the ownerships behavior and attitudes towards patrons and employees (well save that conversation for later) is highly unprofessional, unacceptable and will not be tolerated. These owners have a horrible reputation in the Bradenton area, and I myself have experienced firsthand what everyone warned me about. One such instance is cheating thier guests with liquor. A guest recently ordered a cocktail that calls for a premium vodka (as stated on the menu), and the owner used a well. Her response? The customer wont know the difference. The seals on the bottles that havent been used yet are broken, with no reason to do so until the bottle is needed. Im the full-time bartender, and have one other person alongside with me, and weve seen firsthand the owners use a well liquor (vodka, scotch, rum, etc.) to replace the premium products (i.e. Grey Goose, Chivas), then serve that to guests. What theyre doing is charging people premium liquor prices, and serving well products. My question is this: How do I go on about reporting this, and how do I make sure theyre held accountable for their actions? Im leaving in a few days (I cant leave without notice for specific reasons), but feel horrible knowing people are getting cheated. I want to report this (preferably anonymously), but am more concerned they get held accountable. Have you ever had an instance like this, and how did you go about handling it? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
