Baseball, and childhood. --- I spent most of 5th, all of 6th and 7th grades, in a suburb of Saint Louis, ... thanks to my grades, during the time, I earned free tickets to a Cardinals game (baseball). --- Then, I moved back to MO, in my 9th grade year, and stayed there through HS graduation. ... It was the baseball season after my first year in college that the Kansas City Royals won the World Series, against the Cardinals. --- So, both, more than my favorite baseball teams, they are my HOME teams. (I didnt become a Major League baseball fan until 1995 .... well after high school, college ... and, in Army terms, I had ALREADY become a Staff Sergeant (E-6). --- The Royals, not only, made the playoffs for the first time since 1985 (the year Amy L Robertson, and I were married(BTW they won the World Series)) ... The sports experts said that, of the 8 teams that made the playoffs, they were LEAST LIKELY to make the World Series.
