Based on all the factors needed to capture a moment, this is my all time favorite Osprey photo, especially what it really took to capture this. The moon was bright and almost full, with the Osprey nest right there in the sky. In my minds eye, I envisioned an Osprey coming back to the nest and the moon right behind it, and then I capture the Osprey landing with the moon behind it. Truth be told, I only had about 2 minutes at best for this anticipated vision to happen, and most of all, have the Osprey actually land at night knowing all to well they come back to the nest much earlier and at sundown the latest 99.9% of the time. Well, believing and having the mindset that Everything Is Possible, I pointed my camera at the nest as the moon and earth got into perfect alignment, and the rest is history.
