Basic pathology testing: I think every person diagnosed with MS should have these blood markers checked every 6 months: Vitamin D Active B12 Red cell folate Lipid studies hsCRP ESR Red cell magnesium Red cell zinc Co enzyme Q10 (only retest if low) WCC Ferritin Homocysteine (only retest if elevated) FBE CD57 if you suspect Lyme disease Hair Mineral Analysis (once off to rule out mercury) OR Blood and Urine Mercury levels If you are on Disease modifying medication the you should also test liver and kidney function: LFT Bio Chem Always work in with your health care professional to analyze your results. AND REMEMBER the reference range is NOT always the optimal rage for those diagnosed with MS - this is particularly true with Vitamin D
