Basically, Im not terribly interested furthering a society that believes in blow-jobs, money and football more than looking after the planet. I want to work with people who are interested in reminding themselves and their brothers and sisters about the importance of loving each other, which - when understood dramatically - is about sacrifice and courage and faith. Its not really about movies or deals or grants, its about the way people feel about themselves and others, about what they think, about WHAT they are rather than WHO they are. I want to work with writers and directors and actors who are more interested in the way people fall in love, the way they cope with the tragedy of death and knowing that they’re going to die, than they are with how famous they migyt become or how powerful or how well off.
