Position Title: Risk Analyst Department/Location: Financial Services / HDQ – Bismarck, ND Position Purpose/Job Function: This position is responsible to apply knowledge of risk management principals and insurance to support the risk management and insurance programs of Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC), its subsidiaries, the Missouri Basin Power Project (MBPP), and the Bighorn Limestone Company. The incumbent assists the Manager of Risk and Insurance in developing policy relative to the management of non-medical pure risk. This position also assists in the identification and analysis of funding alternatives and risk control activities Necessary Qualifications: Should have a knowledge of property and casualty insurance, claims adjustment and risk analysis at a level acquired through completion of a four-year degree in risk management and insurance or a business related field, and five years of insurance related experience. Associate in Risk Management or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter professional designation is preferred. Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: Requires frequent sitting and use of keyboard/computer, and occasional standing and lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires finger dexterity, and good hearing and vision. Must be able to analyze data and reports; conduct research; implement recommendations; develop plans, procedures and goals; and present information to others. Travel by operating a motor vehicle or flying in Cooperative or commercial airplanes is required.
