Batman is about 98% complete! All I need to do is add a little bit - TopicsExpress

Batman is about 98% complete! All I need to do is add a little bit more color and scrunch a few more lines, do a little bit of spot correction and its off to robin! As you can all see this is turning out awesome! I still need to finish putting some paint on batmans left shoulder and add a few details, but other than that little bit hes almost done! After that, obviously Ill need to get Robin done. Then Ill add the shadow effect. Also, I am now the proud owner of two more wooden canvases and three new empty bottles of Jack. I PROMISE to be more gentle! But I wont get to use those for some time because the filling Ill use is going to be cheaper than planned, but still very pricey. The 1lb bag of blue glow powder will be mixed with clear tacky glue. Why clear tacky glue? Because I originally planned to use casting resin, but casting resin is tricky, sometimes dangerous business. Not only does it get hot, but it expands slightly when it dries and hardens which can cause the bottle to break and then whered I be? Right back to step one with a HUGE mess on my hands. I can use the tacky glue for the EXACT same purpose! I can tack the tacky glue, mix the glow powder into it, pour it down the bottle and itll do the exact same thing. The only problem is that this stuff takes FOREVER to dry! So, filling it at a rate of about 1 inch per week. Also, I face the problem of plugging the hole in the bottle while the paint is still drying! Maybe Ill fill the bottle slowly and speed the drying time by sticking the bottle on a warm stove burner, or stick it in front of an electric heater to speed drying time. Only time will tell, but seeing these 3 bottle will take a while to complete I will do other art projects simultatiously. No sense in waiting that long for glue to dry.lol. Or perhaps what Ill do (to make things faster) is simply fill the bottle with a little bit of the tacky glue glow powder mix and simply tilt the bottle to the side doing so for all sides. The end result would be Id save a LOT of glue, a LOT of drying time, and a LOT of money. Then I could simply fill the center with white beads to give it weight and it might actually improve the color because the color white is very reflective! Only time will tell. But IMMEDIATELY after I get done with the batman and robin picture Ill begin using these two canvases for an art project I have dreamed about for quite a while! And let me just say that my idea is so AWESOME! I wont tell anyone what it is, but just let me assure you all you will want one for your home!
