Battlelines Have Been Drawn By Robert Tuomi (WINDSOR, ON) – The cynics among city hall watchers are thinking, out loud, as is their wont, they are also sometimes bossy, that things are unfolding as they should and the denizens of the good city should brace for a nice pre-election property tax increase next year that will be the final nail on the coffin of the once wonderful city. The inwards on council are backed into a corner. Some watchers say just like cornered rats but saying that wouldn’t be nice so it will only be hinted at here. The rats, oops, councilors know that they can’t keep building white elephants on what they take from their taxpayers and will need more cash to carry on. What is happening is to be expected say these watchers. They know who they are and fully expect to be served with trespass notices should they even think of venturing close to city hall where they are most likely persona non grata as well known as conspiracy theorists. All of what is being done by the council is nothing but part of a master battle plan probably worked out in the city’s too small central command post where the mayor gets to direct first responders. windsorsquare.ca/battlelines-have-been-drawn/
